SURGICAL REMOVAL (SKIN TAGS, WARTS, MOLES & MILIA SEED)
Our doctor uses CO2 laser treatment to remove the moles, skin tags, warts and milia with minimal pain. This laser treatment removes tissues by vaporization so cutting and suturing are not required. Therefore there will be very minor bleeding and scarring only. It’s an uncomplicated procedure that requires 1-2 visits to achieve total clearance. Topical anaesthesia is required before treatment.
KELOID SCARS
Over-production of collagen and elastin during the wound healing process is the main cause of keloid and hypertrophic scar.
What cause keloid scars
Injuries such as burn, surgery wound, laceration, skin tear, bad tattoo, or during skin inflammation from acne, skin infections, insect bites will form keloid and hypertrophic scar depending on skin type.
When the skin is damaged, the recovery process may leave a flat scar on the skin.
Treatment for keloid scars
Corticosteroids are injected to treat keloid. Corticosteroid is a very strong anti-inflammatory agent. By this, inflammation can be prevented, fibroblasts and inhibit collagen formation can be reduced. The intralesional steroid is by far the best treatment for keloid. This treatment needs to be performed once every 4-8 weeks. Multiple treatments may be required to achieve the desired result. There are visible results after 1 session. Several sessions may be needed for full resolution of keloid scar.
